Joint seminar on the subject of National Economy
for students of the 2nd year of the specialty 051 Economics
EP International Economy on the topic “Social policy of the state”

On May 03, 2023, a joint seminar was held for second-year students of the International Economics educational program, specializing in Economics at the Department of International Economics. The seminar was conducted by associate professor from Department of International Economics, Olena Korohodova and Boris Perelman, a certified expert from the international company Eurolife Group (based in Austria), on the topic of “State Social Policy.”
The expert discussed with the students the main differences between the pension systems in Ukraine and other countries, the peculiarities of the development of the insurance market and the prospects of the insurance business in Ukraine. He also justified the position that the existence of a fully functional insurance market is an important condition for improving the welfare of the population and sustainable economic growth of the country in the context of Eurointegration processes.
During the seminar, the participants were familiarized with the theoretical material, analyzed cases and examples, actively participated in the discussion, and had the opportunity to consolidate the acquired knowledge while performing a practical task (“Income, Consumption, and Savings of the Population”).
