Advisory group for the development of specialty 051 “Economics”

In order to develop and improve the EPP of the specialty 051 “Economics”, to advise the Faculty of Management and Marketing on the labor market requirements for the competencies of economists, as well as to review the educational and scientific program “Economics” of the third (educational and scientific) level of higher education (higher education degree “Doctor of Philosophy”), to modify the curriculum, to create an Advisory Group for the development of the specialty 051 “Economics”. The Advisory Group for the development of the specialty includes stakeholders, namely, postgraduate students of the Faculty of Management and Marketing of the specialty 051 “Economics”, representatives of business, public professional organizations, the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, and higher education institutions. The Advisory Group was established in January 2020 on the basis of the leading Department of International Economics and other departments of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, which are part of the specialty 051 “Economics”. The Advisory Group covers the educational and scientific program “Economics” of the third (educational and scientific) level of higher education (higher education degree “Doctor of Philosophy”). The purpose of the Advisory Group:

to promote the development of the educational and scientific program “Economics” in terms of adapting it to the conditions of a dynamic business environment and labor market;
to provide advice on the specifics of taking into account the specifics of the labor market in the educational and scientific program of the third (educational and scientific) level of higher education in terms of acquiring the necessary competencies and assessing learning outcomes;
to highlight trends in changing requirements for future “Doctors of Philosophy” from the point of view of employers in order to improve the system of employment promotion;
to provide recommendations for expanding the range of business representatives involved in the training of graduate students of the educational and scientific program “Economics” of the third (educational and scientific) level of higher education;
to provide recommendations on the design of scientific achievements of a graduate student in the form of a dissertation, summarizing the completeness of the results of the dissertation in scientific articles in accordance with current requirements in order to maximize the disclosure of competencies and readiness of graduate students for future employment;
to highlight trends in the global labor market in order to use best practices in the educational process;
provide other consultations on educational programs and organization of the educational process.

The Advisory Group meets 2 times a year or additionally as needed. Meetings are held in person or online in accordance with the schedule of the Advisory Group members. The Advisory Group is represented by the Faculty of Management and Marketing of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute:
