On December 07-08, 2021, the XVII All-Ukrainian scientific-practical conference “Efficiency and automation of engineering solutions in instrument making” took place. The conference is traditionally held on the basis of two faculties – the Faculty of Instrument-Making and the Faculty of Management and Marketing of KPI. Igor Sikorsky, which allows students and graduate students to fully cover their research and justify their economic feasibility. Students of the Department of International Economics, who are representatives of different countries, also made interesting reports. Ahmadreza Zare’s speech on the impact of Industry 4.0 on supply chain management in the field of tool design and engineering aroused great interest. Tetyana Rospopchuk shared the results of the research on the peculiarities of using the Lean Six Sigma methodology by large business structures. Yulia Kravchuk presented the results of the implementation of the Industry 4.0 technology development strategy in the international economy. Teachers of the Department of International Economics also took an active part in the conference. Based on the results of the conference, the Proceedings of the XVII All-Ukrainian scientific-practical conference “Efficiency and automation of engineering solutions in instrument making” was published, which contains 90 articles
