Admission to the first year of bachelor’s degree (current information for 2023)

Admission to the 1st year of the FMM is carried out exclusively based on a complete general secondary education.   The competition score is calculated according to the weighting factors:   Formula for calculating the competitive score for admission to the specialty 051 ECONOMICS де П1, П2, П3 – оцінки з першого, другого та третього предметів НМТ.

This year, applicants who plan to pursue a bachelor’s degree at Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute must submit a motivation letter for admission to the university when submitting their electronic applications.

For all FMM specialties (051, 073 and 075), for admission both by state order and at the expense of individuals and/or legal entities (under contract), it is mandatory to provide the results of the NMT 2023 or 2022 (or ZNO certificates 2020-2021) and a motivation letter. The coefficient for a certificate of complete general secondary education is 0. According to the Procedure for admission to higher education in 2022, the rural coefficient is 0. If the competition scores and priorities are equal, the results of the review of motivation letters are used to rank applicants.  

Applications for admission are submitted exclusively electronically, except in special cases, on the website vstup.edbo.gov.ua.

  • The application indicates the university – Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, located in Kyiv;
  • educational degree – bachelor’s degree;
  • the desired form of education (full-time or part-time) and the relevant specialty: 051 Economics, 073 Management, 075 Marketing,
  • if the application is submitted for state-funded admission, the priority from 1 to 5 is indicated.
  • Full-time and part-time forms – there must be different applications!

Also, an application can be submitted only for participation in the competition at the expense of individuals and/or legal entities (contract), which excludes the possibility of being transferred to the state budget within the admission campaign. Applicants can submit up to 5 applications for state and regional order places and up to 15 applications for places funded by individuals and/or legal entities. Recommendations for state-funded places are made on a competitive basis within the maximum amount of the state order. Tuition fees at the Faculty of Management and Marketing in 2023 Full-time study – 39,900 UAH Part-time study – 26 600 UAH Deadlines for the admission campaign for those applying on the basis of NMT and/or EIT results: To fulfill the requirements for admission, the applicant must submit a list of documents in person or by e-mail with a qualified electronic signature within the specified time frame and submit the original documents (in person or by mail) within 20 days from the date of commencement of studies. Persons recommended for admission who have not fulfilled the requirements for admission within the established period are not enrolled in Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute. The preliminary choice of educational program is made during the fulfillment of the requirements for admission, the final one – after the end of the first year.

Admission conditions for foreign citizens

Admission of foreign citizens to study is carried out through the mechanism of entrance examinations based on an agreement signed by the administration of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute with the applicant or with another individual or legal entity. Admission is possible based on interstate agreements under letters from the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. Foreign citizens are enrolled on a competitive basis based on the results of entrance examinations in the form of an interview.

* Motivation letters are submitted by all applicants who participate in the competition for higher education in the cases provided for in the Admission Procedure and these Rules. The motivation letter submitted by an applicant to participate in the competition for a higher education degree in 2022 at Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute must contain the following mandatory components – justification of the applicant’s choice of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute for higher education; – vision of the applicant’s own future and contribution to the development of society after graduation from Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute; – description of the applicant’s previous achievements (participation and victories in competitions, Olympiads, and other educational and professional events; achievements in education in the system of pre-university training of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute). Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute (for applicants for bachelor’s degree); availability of publications (if any) with full bibliographic description and references, availability of patents and copyright certificates (if any), volunteer activities or other achievements that the applicant wishes to report and which influenced his/her choice of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute for higher education, will help in studying or require development in a higher education institution); – name and surname of the applicant. The total length of the motivation letter for applicants for higher education should not exceed 4 thousand characters (excluding spaces). The motivation letter is submitted in Ukrainian in compliance with the norms of the current spelling and linguistic and stylistic features of the modern Ukrainian literary language. It is not allowed to use barbarisms, slang units, or taboo vocabulary. The motivation letter may not contain value judgments about other applicants or statements that are offensive to any members of society (separatism, extremism, xenophobia, homophobia, etc.).
