On 30 October 2025, students took part in an online meeting with Viktoriia Pihul, Talent Marketing Specialist at Intellias and a graduate of the Department of International Economics. The event was organized by Associate Professor Olena Korohodova, PhD (Economics), within the course “International Projects in Crisis Conditions,” and aimed to demonstrate how knowledge of international project management is applied in recruitment marketing and employer branding.
More than 50 people attended the guest lecture, including bachelor students from the Department of International Economics and students from other educational programmes of the Faculty of Management and Marketing at Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute. Associate Professor Yaroslava Hlushchenko, PhD (Economics), also joined the event; she supported the discussion and encouraged active student engagement on practical aspects of international project design.
During the lecture, Viktoriia shared her experience working at Intellias, a company recognized as the Best IT Employer in Ukraine by DOU, Forbes Ukraine, and EY in 2020–2022. Students learned about organizing tech events, participating in international conferences, developing communication strategies to attract talent, and taking cultural differences into account within international project teams.
Students actively asked questions such as: “How is the effectiveness of participation in offline events measured?”, “What skills are needed for a career in Talent Marketing?”, “How can an economist adapt to the IT environment?”, and “What is the role of women in IT?”. Participants highlighted the practical value of the meeting and the importance of connections with alumni who have already built careers in international business.
Events like this promote integration of academic education with the real challenges of the modern labour market and open new horizons for young professionals. We invite employers and alumni to join the guest-lecture initiative of the Department of International Economics.
